Carl is the owner and lead instructor of Fitts Shoot Club LLC, bringing over two decades of real-world experience in firearms education and safety. A Certified NRA Instructor and former Marine Corp shooting coach, Carl earned the title of Expert Shooter three times during his six years of military service-a testament to his skill, discipline, and dedication to excellence.

Carl began instructing in the Salem, Oregon area in 2009 under the mentorship of Jim Jacobe, a respected firearms trainer and Marine Corp Veteran. While he has since launched his own business, Carl continues to team up with Jim for classes, honoring the roots of his instructional journey and the value of collaboration in building safer, more confident shooters.

When he is not teaching classes or working his full-time job, Carl enjoys hunting big game with his bow in Central & Eastern Oregon.
